Dec 23, 2018 - While the Xbox One controller is one of the finest handheld. It does require macOS 10.11 or up, so it won't work with a Mac running anything below El Capitan. These “drivers” install a kext (kernel extension) to tell macOS how to work with. Since there is no native kext and Microsoft, one of Apple's major. Before trying to get it to work ingame you should make sure its turning up in control panel under 'Hardware and Sound' 'Devices and Printers'. Can you tell me exactly what cable and USB connector kit you are using please. I know that just using a charging cable wont work. You either need a wired controller or a Xbox 360 Wireless Gaming Receiver.

I got it to work but it only worked until I turned my comp off. Have you tried using a different usb cable to plug it in, sometimes the USB cable won't work and the solution is to just use a different one. |

go to advanced and check 'enable driver'. This fixed it for me. |

PDP and PowerA Xbox One controllers are incompatible with macOS 10.11+ thanks to a rewrite of the macOS USB kernel. We cannot resolve this issue. It is a bug in Apple's core OS code. |
